This is the shocking moment an apparent Asda security guard knocks out a man with a single, devastating punch.
In a jarring video shared on Twitter, a man wearing a black jacket with the word "security" on the back is seen delivering the blow the instant the other man enters the supermarket.
The second he turns to see the man, who is wearing a grey hoodie and trousers, he stops him in his tracks, landing a heavy punch in his face, flooring him in front of shocked shoppers.
He then grabs the man by the hood and drags his motionless body out of the shop, leaving him outside.
Another man walks approaches and passes his phone to him as he tries to get up.
One shopper is seen putting down his grocery bags to give the stricken man a hand.
The man then picks up his phone, gets up and walks away.
The incident took place at the Shoeburyness store, Essex.
It is not known if the two men were known to each other or if there had been an encounter previously.
An Asda spokesperson told Daily Star: "We do not tolerate violence in our stores and are investigating the incident in our Shoeburyness store as well as supporting the police fully with their enquiries.
"As this is an ongoing police investigation we cannot provide any further comment at this time."
An Essex Police spokesperson said: "We are investigating following an incident in Shoeburyness.
"We were called to the Asda store in North Shoebury Road to reports of a disturbance where a man in his 20s was assaulted.
