Saturday’s weather calls for a high near 27 degrees and a low of 11, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder, with snow expected mainly in the afternoon and into the evening. An additional 2 to 4 inches of snow is possible overnight.

Those in the mountains can expect more snow throughout the morning, as it heads to the plains in the afternoon and evening, according to the hazardous weather outlook. That’s expected to lead to icy and snow packed roads. About 2 to 6 inches of accumulation is likely in the mountains and 1 to 4 inches in the lower elevations.

The weather is expected to be more dry Sunday in Denver and the mountains, but more snow is forecast for Monday and Tuesday.
