Denver weather: Changes Tuesday end heat, could bring snow and rain

Denver had another 80-degree day on Monday; the weather changes Tuesday as temperatures take a dive.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, cooler temperatures are on the way. Tuesday’s high will be 57 degrees in Denver, with a 70% chance of precipitation. Thunderstorms are likely in the late afternoon, with winds gusting up to 25 mph.

The low will drop to 35 degrees as rain will mix with the snow late this evening, but no accumulation is expected. The scattered snow showers will begin in the mountains in the morning, with most of the thunderstorms in the afternoon staying south of Interstate 70.

Wednesday will be a high fire danger day as it heats back up to a mild 63 degrees, though 33 mph winds are coming. Decreasing clouds will lead to a clear night of 38 degrees.

Thursday will be clear with a high of 70 degrees and a low of 37.

Friday is shaping up to be sunny with a high of 60.
