Fiancée of Taken dad who killed daughters sex trafficker is proud of him

The fiancée of a man accused of killing his daughter's sex trafficker says she is "very proud" of him.

John Eisenman was arrested last week for the murder of Andrew Sorenson, 19, who he suspected sold his daughter into sex trafficking.

The 60-year-old allegedly abducted his daughter's boyfriend before hitting him in the head with a cinder block and then stabbed him repeatedly.

Sorenson's rotting corpse was found in the boot of an abandoned car in Spokane, Washington, last month, almost a year after his death.

Despite the brutal allegations against Eisenman, his fiancée Brenda Kross has described him as "the best father" while members of the public hail him a "hero".

Brenda told TV station KHQ: "John… It was something that a lot of men say they would do for their daughter."

She added that Eisenman is "selfless, very giving, loving and loyal" and "the best father I could have ever had for my children".

"I'm very proud of John and I'm blessed to have had him in my life and I want him back home," she said.

A fundraising campaign to cover legal fees has been launched by their daughter Ashleye.

The GiveSendGo page is already over half way to achieving the $100,000 (£74,000) target as generous donors from around the world share their sympathy with the family.

Eisenman's step-daughter Ashleye writes on the page: "This father did the unthinkable for some of us to save his little girl from an unspeakable life that causes long term scars and years of emotional damage.

"He did what most of us as parents would do or think about doing in a situation like this, prior to this he had no violent offenses.

"Many are calling him a hero. I would like to do all we can as a community to help him be a free man and have his day in court to defend his honor and the honor of his daughter."

The alleged murder has led to comparisons with the hit movie Taken.

In the film the main character, played by Liam Neeson, hunts down the people who sold his daughter into a sex trafficking ring.
