According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the quake occurred at a depth of 122km. Initially it had a magnitude of 7.2.
The earthquake struck Kepulauan Talaud, in Indonesia, at around 12.23pm today.
Based on the current data, there is no tsunami threat from this earthquake.
