Influencer flouts Dubais strict dress code by posting scantily-clad Insta pics

A fitness influencer has flouted Dubai's strict dress code by posting scantily-clad pictures on social media.

Amy Castano, 31, has been joking online about disobeying the conservative dress code, while giving her adoring army of fans a look at her recent holiday in Dubai.

Posting on TikTok and Instagram, alongside entrepreneur Amal Wakim, she was shown in several cut-out bikinis, body-con dresses and skimpy work out gear.

And she even joked in one video that her swimwear choices could “get her arrested”.

She wrote, referencing her friend: “She's using me to go viral on TikTok and asked me to flash … “I'd get arrested for you @amal.wakim.

“Committed to the cause.”

And on another of her in a very revealing outfit, she joked: “For those that have money on @Amal.Wakim getting arrested first”.

The founded of the Acero gym, is married to celebrity person trainer Jono Castano, who’s celebrity clientele includes Rita Ora, Pia Miller, former Bachelor Matty Johnson and model Laura Dundovic.

According to, Dubai and UAE have varying degrees of tolerance to clothing styles from across the world.

They said: “Nevertheless, dress code in Dubai is quite liberal, in comparison to several other states in the Middle East.

“There are legal guidelines about what is acceptable, but, in general people are mostly allowed to wear what they like.

“However, it would be wise to tone down your dress code in other emirates of UAE (other than Dubai), especially in areas where there is greater proportion of nationals or Emiratis.

“In general most 'normal' clothing is tolerated, provided, it is not too outrageous.”

Despite that, Castano's 544,000 plus Instagram followers didn't seem to care, with comments on all of her posts ranging from calling her an “absolute queen” to “stunning”.

There are very strict rules against public nudity in Dubai.
