Joe Biden has faced questions after a series of presidential gaffes as well as concerns surrounding the tight control of his media access. Recently, President Biden said he would only use a prepared list of reporters from his team to answer questions. On Tuesday, the US President admitted he had “to seek permission to leave” a press conference from his staff.
The latest remark came during his visit to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
He left the podium after a speech but briefly returned to add that he had to “seek permission to leave”.
RNC Research, a social media account run by the Republican National Committee, tweeted: “Joe Biden bizarrely says he has ‘to seek permission to leave’ from his staff.”
Viewers remarked it “shows the world that Joe Biden is not in control”.

Another questioned who President Biden “was answering to”.
It was not the only bizarre moment in the press conference after he also appeared to misremember how long he has been in Congress.
During his address, he told reporters that 1973 was “three and a half decades ago”.
He said: “You know, we used to do that when I first got here as a US Senator three-and-a-half decades ago.”

However, President Biden was sworn in as a US Senator in 1973 – almost 50 years ago.
During the press conference, he also questioned the intelligence of those who have yet to get vaccinated.
He was questioned whether all federal employees will be required to get vaccinated.

According to CNN, a source in the White House said that all federal workers will have to get vaccinated against COVID-19, or submit to regular testing.
President Biden said: “That’s under consideration right now, but if you’re not vaccinated you’re not nearly as smart as I thought you were.
“We have a pandemic because of the unvaccinated, and they’re sowing enormous confusion.”
Some local leaders, including New York’s mayor, Bill de Blasio, and the California governor, Gavin Newsom, have already announced such mandates for their government employees.
