‘Master’ of polyamorous ‘BDSM cult’ charged with slavery offences

The alleged master of a BDSM “cult” and OnlyFans performer has been charged with slavery and sexual servitude offences.

James Robert Davis who has documented his life with six partners on Instagram, was arrested on March 11 following an Australian Federal Police investigation into potential sexual servitude offences.

The 40-year-old from New South Wales, Australia is alleged to have oppressed of a woman in Sydney’s eastern suburbs between 2012 and 2015, News.com.au reports.

In flaunting his lifestyle online Mr Davis boasted his OnlyFans was in the “top 1.9%” adding that he was an “ageing dude living the quiet country life with my 6 amazing partners”.

A group of women arrived at Armidale Local Court to support him as he unsuccessfully applied for bail and explained they were in a “consensual polyamorous relationship” with Mr Davis.

Social media accounts showing life at their rural property Mr Davis nicknamed the “House of Cadifor”, have been deleted or hidden from view.

On Instagram one of the women uploaded pictures of Mr Davis proposing to her in a paddock while five other women excitedly looked on.

One of the women described herself as “proudly polyamorous, ridiculously tiny and unnecessarily feisty” and posted a photo of her kissing another woman whose arms are bound behind her back.

Another page had shared snaps of the women dressed in matching flannel shirts and cowboy hats as they held instruments like a folk band.

The profile says: “Welcome to the story of six beautiful, brilliant, talented yet likely insane women who decided to date and marry the same man.”

The women are not suggested to have been the victims of any offences.

AFP human trafficking investigators had been assessing allegations of potential sexual servitude offences by the man under Operation Saintes.

Police allege between 2012 to 2015 the former Australian Defence Force soldier coerced a woman into prostitution, for which she received no pay, while they were living in Maroubra.

News.com.au reports he is also accused of physically assaulting the woman and threatening her with death when she expressed her wishes to leave.

Police allege he referred to himself as the “patriarch” of the House of Cadifor, where six women signed “slavery contracts” and were in his “possession”.

Mr Davis' barrister, Ian Lloyd QC told the court the women remained in a “consensual polyamorous relationship which may contain elements of BDSM” with his client and their support at the court was “living proof … that they have no fears whatsoever” of their partner .

The court was told that one of the women was 17 weeks pregnant.
