Meghan Markle's past actions hint that she may make a surprise appearance at the Princess Diana event this summer in the UK, according to a royal expert.
On July 1, on the late Princess of Wales' birthday, Prince Harry and William will unveil a statue in her honour to mark what would have been her 60th.
The touching event is planned to mark the work she had done throughout her life and the important causes she fought for.
The Duke of Sussex is reportedly set to return to the UK for the second time this year, after making the trip back for his grandfather's funeral, Prince Philip, in April.
However, he hasn't confirmed his plans to fly back to Britain since the news of his daughter's birth, Lilibet, earlier this month.
It's believed Meghan will remain at their Californian home since the arrival of their daughter and stay with their son, Archie, 2.
Speculation arose this week that the Duchess of Sussex may take a break from maternity leave to join her husband on the trans-Atlantic flight, although a royal source claimed this would not be happening. The Sussexes have not confirmed who and when will be attending the event.

Prince William and Harry will reunite in the gardens of Kensington Palace for the commemorative statue they commissioned back in 2017.
The royal siblings asked sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley to create the tribute for the princess, with the work to be unveiled together during the event.
Reports claim the brothers will also be giving separate speeches to mark the occasion, writes Daniela Elser for NewsAU.
The expert says looking at Meghan's past will detail whether the duchess may make an appearance on the day.

Daniela recalled how the royal has gone out of her way to support her nearest and dearest, including when she took part in Trooping the Colour in 2019 just a month after welcoming little Archie into the world.
Daniela said: "Then, in September the same year, she flew to New York when her baby was only four months old for only a few days to take her place courtside to cheer on good friend Serena Williams."
She adds that Meghan shares similarities with the Princess of Wales, with both women leaving the roles as senior royals in The Firm, with Princess Diana after she divorced Prince Charles before her death; and Meghan and Harry making the decision to step down as senior royals in March 2020.
Harry and Meghan moved to the US with son Archie last year, with the duchess not yet having returned to the UK since the move.
