Senior royal and future king Prince Charles, like many of the other members of the Royal Family, has a team of staff on hand to help him in day to day activities.

From chefs to chauffeurs, the family enjoys assistance in anything from making the bed, cooking meals and ensuring the royal is in the right place at the right time.

The Prince of Wales has an extremely strict set of rules for his bath time that must be followed to the letter, experts report.

Paul Burrell, speaking in the Amazon Prime documentary 'Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm', spoke about the pampered Prince's regimented bath time rituals.

Burrell said: "His pyjamas are pressed every morning and his shoe laces are pressed flat with an iron."

When it comes to the morning bath, the Prince apparently has some very particular requests that must be followed closely before Charles hops in the tub.

The ex-butler told the documentary crew that "the water temperature has to be just tepid, and only half full".

He also added that his underwear must not have a crease out of place, his bath towel must be arranged to his taste and the bath plug must face a specific direction.

Burrell mentioned the bath plug "has to be in a certain position" when it comes to bathing for the royal, and if things don't go perfectly for the Prince, the staff bear the brunt of the bath time disruption.

Charles is said to "scold" staff members if they mess up his intricate morning routine.

Burrell added: "If anyone gets anything wrong everybody is scolded."

The fussy Prince's morning routine depends almost entirely on the staff who help him out each day, with responsibilities for the Prince's team including the running of the bath, the ironing of his morning clothes and temperature of the bath water.
