A video of Prince Harry praising his father Prince Charles had been unearthed amid a growing public row that has left royalists "heartbroken".
Prince Charles is alleged to be "deeply hurt" by his son's recent Apple TV documentary, in which Harry claimed his dad let him "suffer in silence" when he was battling his mental health problems.
The documentary stands in stark contrast to the earlier interview when Harry said how thankful he is that his "pa" is always there if he needs to "offload stuff".
In the clip, Harry tells Ant and Dec: "The advice he can give us based on the contacts he has made over the years, it's incredible.
"You can ring him up and say, I'm in a bit of a pickle here or, even better, you can offload stuff."
Ant and Dec burst into laughter, then Harry continued: "If someone does say something to me, there is always a lightbulb that goes, hang on a second I'm in no position to do this from lack of knowledge, and you just ring and say, 'Pa can you do this?'
"He is guaranteed to have one, if not two people, who are specialists in that area, and they can get things done."
The poignant footage, from the 2016 documentary When Ant And Dec Met The Prince: 40 Years Of The Prince’s Trust, was re-shared on Twitter on Sunday (May 23) by the account @royalinstablog.
It has since been watched more than 19,000 times and received thousands of "likes".
Some royalists seemed distressed by the footage, with one commenting: "Heartbreaking to see two brothers who are very obviously really close to each other now completely estranged from each other."
"The pa that walked Meghan down the aisle," tweeted a second.
Another viewer wrote: "What a delightful video of William and Harry."
"The happy Harry is no more," lamented someone else.
