A bloke has been jailed for six-and-a-half-years after he dragged a teenage girl down an alley way, before attempting to rape her.
Sicko Ryan Bennison was only stopped from committing the horrific act by a heroic group of men who chased him away – he was also punched and detained by one of the blokes
The 27-year-old brute, who was tried this week at Bolton Crown Court, tried to rape the unnamed woman in February, 2019, in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester.

The girl was just 17-years-old at the time and was walking home after a night out, the Manchester Evening News reports.
The bloke, who did not know the girls, asked for a cigarette and then for a light – with a 30 second gap in between after she had walked away.
The pair kissed, but she pulled away.
Prosecuting, Eddie Steele said: “He looked drunk… She did not want to have sexual contact with him.
“She had to push his hand off but he was persistent.
“She told him she had to get home and tried to walk away from him.
“He told her she wasn’t going home and that she could go to his place – she refused, saying that she had to get back and she didn’t even know him.”
Trying to escape, she walked past a nearby alleyway before being grabbed by the arm and dragged down it.
Overpowering her, he pulled her pants down, as well as his own, rubbed her genital area for 10 to 15 seconds, despite her trying to keep her legs together.
Thankfully, a group of five men walked passed the alleyway and she managed to scream for help.
The group chased him off and detained him.
Due to facial injuries from being punched, Bennison was taken to hospital after being arrested.
In a victim impact statement, the girl said: “I don’t go out alone anymore and when I do, I wear two pairs of pants.
“I won’t leave the safety of my own home unless my phone is fully charged and I ask someone to keep an eye on my location.
“This is the effect the crime has had on my life.
“I never used to do this and I shouldn’t have to do this.
“That night, I felt numb, I felt empty, I felt unsafe and I felt I didn’t even own my own body.
“After it happened, I didn’t go out at all and I’ve now been diagnosed with agoraphobia.
“That night changed my life."
